Beginning on May 1st, 2023, eOne Solutions will be removing the perpetual license option for new SmartConnect purchases.
Here is what is important to note for partners & current customers:
- This only applies to NEW purchases. For customers purchasing a new license, SmartConnect will be available to purchase as subscription plans with options to pay monthly, annually for 1 or more years, and to be pro-rated for any period of time. As always, SmartConnect subscription plans include dual-use rights, meaning customers on this license type can use on-premise SmartConnect, SmartConnect.com, or both.
- For existing customers: SmartConnect customers who have purchased a perpetual license prior to May 1, 2023, will be able to remain on their current plan with yearly AEP enhancements.
- This does NOT have any impact on SmartConnect on-premise, the product itself. eOne remains committed to offering both our cloud and on-premise versions of SmartConnect (See Code Merge article below) with feature parity between SmartConnect versions. This decision is another example of our commitment to streamlining our licensing structure and making the purchasing process easier for our partners and customers.
