We are pleased to welcome Floyd Jones to the eOne team. Floyd is a Front End Developer on our Popdock team and will be working out of our office in Austin, TX. No doubt you’ll interact with him in the coming months, but in the meantime – take a few moments to get to know him a little bit more.
Q: Do you have any fun projects that you’ve worked on before coming to eOne?
A: I am working on a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) app for building websites and apps, but it is a long project for which I have no real plans. I am also writing a novel.
Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?
A: I enjoy spending time with family, programming, gaming, writing, drawing, playing tennis, basketball, ping pong, and reading (fantasy, sci-fi, and classics in ancient Greek – the latter take a while as I must translate as I go).
Q: What’s on your bucket list?
Finish a series I have been writing since university. I am writing a high fantasy series mixed with sci-fi (science fantasy). I have “finished” the first and third books, but there’s a lot of work to go. I would also like to travel more, particularly to a couple of states in America, as well as Korea, Japan, and Greece.
Q: Any fun(ny) eOne memories that first come to mind?
We went to a Korean chicken restaurant, and they had wings that tasted like pancakes.
Q: What’s playing in your headphones?
Mostly K-pop. I don’t listen to music much, but that is my favorite.
Q: What TV show are you binge-watching/watched most recently?
I love Breaking Bad and its prequel, Better Call Saul. I just finished rewatching the former. Other shows I have really enjoyed recently include The 100, Cobra Kai, Ozark, and Squid Game.
