We are excited to welcome James Varn to the eOne team! James is joining the EMEA team in a new position as our Regional Sales Manager, and will be working from his home office in The Hague, Netherlands. You’ll definitely interact with him in the upcoming months, but in the meantime – take a few moments to get to know him a little bit more.

Q: Do you have any fun projects that you’ve worked on before coming to eOne? 

A: One of my favorite, was a project spanning across 22 global markets with one of the largest retailers in the world. We were helping them digitize their catalogue (also becoming more green), creating push and pull marketing campaigns and while integrating LS Retail, BC and CE with their marketing module. It was one of the largest deals in company history and my team at the time was able to work with the client’s great team on different sites globally. 

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work? 

A: Work = Life but I come from a Marketing Automation background so I love marketing and marketing technology. I’m passionate about helping businesses grow and expand their reach. I also love to travel, meet new people and try new things in different cultures.  

Q: What’s on your bucket list?  

A: I’d love to go to space one day and see the world from the outside. I’d also like to visit Japan and China. 

Q: Any fun(ny) eOne memories that first come to mind? 

A: On the first global sales call I was trying to explain the European football clubs I follow to the team back in the US. I wasn’t getting a ton of traction . Fortunately, still a big American football, baseball, golf and basketball fan.

Q: What’s playing in your headphones? 

A: If I look at my on repeat Spotify playlist I’ve got some of the Strokes, the Cult, the Counting Crows, Audioslave, the Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Eminem, Kanye, Jay Z, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles playing recently. 

Q: What TV show are you binge watching/watched most recently? 

A: Re-watching Peaky Blinders. Also, really enjoyed the Mandalorian but that isn’t too recent!
