We’re pleased to introduce you to one of our Popdock team members, Joseph Barb. Joseph is based out of our Austin, TX office and is a Popdock Support Specialist. He’s a key team member for our Popdock customers to connect with. Take a few minutes to get to know Joe a little bit more below:

Describe your role with Popdock?  My role at Popdock is providing support to our clients and customers. This involves getting them onboard and introduced to the product and helping them with any issues they come across while trying to get the data they are looking for.  I also help out with testing Popdock features to make sure they are working and adding content to the website like the knowledge base articles to help with step by step information on how some features work.

Do you have any fun projects that you’ve worked on before coming to Popdock?  I previously worked with a small startup that grew pretty big and is still growing, I was their first employee.  The company was ShipStation and then they were acquired by Stamps.com, but they continue to be a big part of the shipping industry.

What are you passionate about outside of work?  I am most passionate about the time with my family.  My wife and I have 3 kids and together outside of work our schedules are packed with their practices and games or track meets.  With all their activities I picked up photography as a hobby so that I can capture them involved in their activities.  Then I occasionally try to fit in some of my own indoor/outdoor soccer league.  I also like to go camping and fishing.

What’s on your bucket list?  On my bucket list I think would have to be traveling internationally.  I was born in Panama and lived in Germany as a kid, but I still want to see a lot of other places, the list is way too long.  My mom is Vietnamese and I have not yet traveled to Vietnam to meet my family there so that would probably be one of my first trips.

Any fun(ny) Popdock memories that first come to mind?  I think one of the funny moments for me was meeting Martin, the CEO, in person for the first time.  Before I started looking for a new job, I had grown out my hair and was putting it up in a man bun, but then I chopped it off because I didn’t want to show up to interviews with it.  Then meeting Martin before I officially started with Popdock, he had his long hair and he was putting it up in a man bun.  Maybe I will have to grow it out again.

What’s playing in your headphones?  I think I like to bounce between music genres depending on the mood, but it could be some country like Luke Combs, then some hip-hop, and even some alternative music.

Now that you know Joe a little bit more, take a minute to drop him a line (joseph.barb@eonesolutions.com) to ask a Popdock question!
