We’ve been integrating with CRM platforms for a little over 6 years now, but it wasn’t until recently that partners and customers would walk up to us and say “Hey! You guys make SmartConnect. We use it for Dynamics CRM and we love it!” Now the fastest growing integration solution for Dynamics CRM, part of the recognition and reason for the hockey stick growth goes to the hard work and efforts of Katie Soderberg, our CRM Channel Manager and the insights she brings to our entire customer/products team. I sat down with Katie to ask a few questions. Here’s what she had to say.
Have any Nicknames?
Nothing too crazy…My sister calls me “Kate”, and on my husband’s side of the family, I’m “Katie Fay”. We use middle names, because my mother-in-law and I have the same name.
When did you start and what do you do at eOne?
Prior to eOne I managed CRM channel partners, and sales for ClickDimensions. And before that I was at Microsoft doing the same. I started at here in May of 2015, and am focused on developing and growing our CRM channel for SmartConnect, our no-code data integration solution. If you haven’t seen it, you should–it’s awesome.
What have you worked on recently that you’re proud of (at eOne)?
I’m very excited about the momentum we’re seeing in the CRM space! This fall, I’ve really appreciated the opportunity to meet with partners and our user base to learn more about some of the unique and common ways people are using SmartConnect to make life easier for their teams and customers. SmartConnect can handle some pretty complex scenarios and it’s always fun to see the wheels turning as they see the solution and are thinking about the many ways that they could use SmartConnect.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
I love spending time with my husband, my two little boys (who are very busy–ages 1 and 3), and our family, most of which live around the Fargo-Moorhead area. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer and taking my boys to watch my husband’s football team–he coaches for a local high school….Go Rebels!
What’s on your bucket list?
Many things…with our boys, we’d love to take them to Disney World, take them to a Minnesota Twins and Vikings game, go Halibut fishing in Alaska, and I’d love to visit Spain and Ireland someday with my husband. I studied abroad in college in a small town, Segovia, which is right outside of Madrid, Spain and has the castle that Walt Disney modeled Cinderella’s castle after, so I’d love to show him that and drink some good ole’ Irish brew in an authentic Irish Pub.
Any fun(ny) eOne memories that first come to mind?
The eOne team is just fun in general and I’ve enjoyed getting to know my colleagues. Last week, we met a fun milestone for SmartConnect sales, so when I came into the office after being out for an appointment, Beastie Boys was playing quite loudly over the office wide Sonos systems and the team was just about to share a champagne toast to the accomplishment …We work hard as a team and celebrate as a team.
What’s playing in your headphones?
All kinds of music and sometimes, NPR radio. My Pandora Radio stations range and my favorites include Frank Sinatra, Chicago, James Taylor, Avatar Soundtrack, The Zach Brown Band, Pitbull, Third Day, and Today’s Hits.
