This week we introduce to you Chris Hanson, one of our Senior Technical Consultant for our team. He took some time to share a little bit about himself with us below:

Do you have any nicknames people should know about?
Most people call me Hansel at the office. It started because we have two Chris’ here so they used my last name, which then turned into the Zoolander reference.

When did you start and what do you do at eOne?
I started back in August of 2009 working in support. I did a bit of development after that and then was in consulting for a long period of time. Recently I’ve switched over to a role helping setup partnerships with ISVs and other companies in order to deliver solutions for their customers.

What is something really awesome that you’ve done lately at eOne?
I created an Excel sheet using our SmartConnect Add-in that allows a couple people on our team to pull unpaid invoices out of Dynamics GP to Excel and enter the payment information for each one, adjust the batch and date if needed on each. Also adjusting the CRM module information for any product on the invoice. After updating the data they can now send the data back in Dynamics GP and CRM by running the integration directly from that excel sheet. It saves a bunch of time and effort for having to go find each of those records individually in the two systems.

What are you passionate about outside of work?
I enjoy golfing, building computers, playing video games (on those computers) and spending time with my wife and two young kids. This last year we’ve been trying to update our house a bit and I’ve found that I like doing home improvement jobs as well – though I wouldn’t want to do it full time.

What’s on your bucket list?
I definitely want to travel across Europe with my wife – we both want to see at least Italy, Greece, Scotland, and France. Whenever we plan our trip to head over there it’ll be just us – no kids on that one for sure. I also want to go skydiving, head out with a tornado/storm chasing team during one of the storm seasons, and see the Iguazu Falls in South America.

Any eOne memories that first come to mind?
At the office we have a tendency to mess with anyone’s laptop that they leave unlocked by changing their background to a less than desirable picture of David Hasselhoff – we call it “Hoffing”. The best two occurrences of this was when we switched someone’s lock screen to the Hoff and then changed the privileges on the machine to prevent them from changing it off of that, and when we got another person by updating their background, lock screen, Skype picture, Windows Account picture, and almost every single icon on their desktop to the Hoff… he was everywhere.

What’s playing in your headphones?
I enjoy a wide range of music; 30 Seconds to Mars’, Fallout Boy, Andy Grammer, Skillet, Jack’s Mannequin, The Goo Goo Dolls, Disciple, orchestral music – think movie soundtracks, song mashups, etc. My favorite group has to be One Republic though, my wife is still angry I got to go to their concert at Convergence and she couldn’t – I should probably take her next time they are touring near us.

We hope you enjoyed meeting Chris – feel free to drop him a line at chris.hanson@eonesolutions.com!
