This week’s spotlight is shining a bitter sweet light. Danielle Erickson has worn many hats since joining eOne. She is the voice behind the eOne Spotlight series and multiple other posts and conversations for eOne. Her passion and character have guided her in these past few years at eOne, and we know she will continue to follow her passions as she begins her new role in Women’s Ministry at the University of North Dakota. While we hate to see her time here coming to an end, we have the utmost support for Danielle as she takes the next step towards her goals. In case you haven’t had a chance to meet Danielle, here is a quick interview we had with her.

Do you have any nicknames people should know about?
I rarely go by Danielle. In high school I was strictly known as “Peanut” because I was the only 8th grader on the varsity Soccer Team – I was definitely the smallest and it just stuck throughout those years! Then in college I continued playing soccer (for NDSU – go Bison!) and was known as “Dbo” a nod to my maiden name “Boldenow”.

When did you start and what do you do at eOne?
I joined eOne the summer after college in September of 2012 as a Partner Relations Manager – I became the company “Gatekeeper” with manning the phones. Since then I’ve had my hands in Customer Satisfaction, Marketing/Social Media and Account Management – I’ve worn a lot of hats and love it!

What is something really awesome that you’ve done lately at eOne?
If you were at the #SmartnerParty, then you saw me running around capturing footage with a GoPro or a camera, and just got done putting together the highlight video of the night – view it here!

I also think the Friday #EmployeeSpotlight blogs are pretty awesome because they give you a chance to get to know our team better!

What are you passionate about outside of work?
I’m passionate about many things. In fact one of my passions is currently leading me to leave eOne at the end of the month – for an entirely different channel of work – college ministry. Though I’m excited for the new season I am going to miss my eOne family so much. eOne truly is an incredible place to work and the Microsoft Dynamics community is just stellar.

I’ll definitely keep in touch as I don’t believe in goodbyes. Thank you to all who have made these last three years something special – I keep thinking “I wish I hated my job and the people I interact with as it would be so much easier to leave!” – however I’m glad that’s not the case. 🙂

What’s on your bucket list?
-Snowboard at every major mountain resort in the US and possibly the world
-Go backpacking for a week with my husband & other outdoor adventures
-Start a family with said husband
-Start a women’s ministry
-Learn how to surf and be legit at it
-Change the world and make it a better place everyday

Any eOne memories that first come to mind?
One of my favorites was when a few of us went to an all you can eat boneless wings lunch which turned into an eating competition. I recall tasting the hottest sauce with Chris Hanson and we both thought our tongues were bleeding (they weren’t – but it freaked us out). In the car we all were “claiming” the couch in the office to lay on as we were all uncomfortably full. Once parked everyone raced up the stairs to the office – we were literally pushing people down – I was laughing so hard and it hurt so bad! In the end I think Chris Dew won and everyone else collapsed on the floor. I vowed to never eat that much again.

I also participated in the all guys lunch where we went to Mac’s Hardware store and debated what we would do if we purchased the $400 block of foam…the possibilities were endless.

What’s playing in your headphones?
Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings and other action movie soundtracks, Hillsong United, Bethel Music, Jesus Culture, Skillet, anything I learned on “Guitar Hero” or nothing as I like to tune out and focus.

We hope you enjoyed meeting Danielle – feel free to wish her good luck before she departs eOne at danielle.erickson@eonesolutions.com!
