Our Sales Invoice template lets you do something ‘Edit in Excel’ could never do; import a transaction! Business Central stores invoice headers and invoice lines separately. That separation prevents the built-in ‘Edit in Excel’ functionality from making changes to both tables simultaneously. SmartConnect doesn’t have that limitation because your header and line data can be ‘grouped’ to form a complete Business Central transaction. Grouping makes SmartConnect very powerful!

The mapping and grouping are handled for you with the Sales Invoice template; you can create your sales invoices through SmartConnect without ever leaving Excel.
