Saved connections in SmartConnect scripts has been covered a bit before, but this video should help explain exactly how to set up saved connections and use them in any scripts in SmartConnect. The main benefits of using saved connections are that your credentials are encrypted within the script if anyone views it, and if you change servers-credentials you only need to update the saved connection once and it will roll down to any script using it.
