Frame USA’s Background

Frame USA, Inc. has been in the art and framing business for over 30 years, delivering orders by the thousands, the handful, or through individual, custom orders. Frame USA sells through a variety of channels – including direct from their website, wholesale, and through sites like Amazon, eBay, Wayfair, Walmart, and more.

With hundreds of orders hitting their ERP (Microsoft Dynamics GP) a day from Amazon, Overstock and Wayfair alone, Frame USA quickly identified a need for an integration solution to bring those orders in to GP and to eliminate manual data entry.

The Solution

The Frame USA team selected SmartConnect by eOne Solutions as the best toolset for the job. It could quickly serve their need to bring orders in from Amazon, Overstock, and Wayfair – and be used in the future as they grew the number of products offered on other online sites.

They were able to quickly set up a SmartConnect map which runs every 3 minutes to grab text files from their server and create orders in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

“Before SmartConnect was in place, this was all done manually and was taking an extreme amount of time. The whole process from start to finish was eating a few days for at least 2 people. Now, with SmartConnect, we’re down to minutes a day for these orders,” commented Blake Miller, IT & Network Manager at Frame USA.


Future Plans

In the future, the Frame USA team plans to add more integrations. As they add more products from a sister company to various vendor sites, they need to bring those orders in – but in a unique way. They’ll need to ensure they can append three digits to the front of every order number – something that will be easy with SmartConnect.

“Once we use SmartConnect for this integration, we estimate saving at least 20 to 30 hours a week in manual data entry,” mentioned Miller.

“SmartConnect is a workhorse for us – it runs every 3 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It keeps us going. I don’t know what we’d do without it,” concluded Miller.
