We are very excited to welcome Mary Charuhas to the eOne team! Mary is one of our Partner Development Managers and will be working out of her home in Frederick, Maryland. You’ll definitely interact with her in the upcoming months. In the meantime – take a few moments to get to know her a little bit more!
Q: Do you have any fun projects that you’ve worked on before coming to eOne?
Prior to eOne, I worked for a Microsoft partner for 6 years. During that time I was able to be involved in projects that ranged from implementing GP, setting up Office 365 in the secure government environment, developing custom manufacturing systems, working with local micro-breweries, sports teams, and everything in between. It was a great learning opportunity and I learned more about accounting and IT than I ever anticipated!
Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?
I have three little girls so whenever I am not working I try to spend as much time with them and my husband as possible. When the weather is nice in MD we try to get outside as much as possible and love going out to kid friendly wineries, hiking, or go into DC for the day. My oldest is four now and is always asking to go shopping, so I think have passed that addiction on to her as well!
Q: What’s on your bucket list?
Greece! My family is Greek and I would love to visit there and see where my family is from. I also have family that live in Australia so I would love to visit there too.
Q: Any fun(ny) eOne memories that first come to mind?
On my first day Katie, Martin, and I walked to the coffee shop across the street from the office. In that short walk we had to dodge huge patches of ice and the wind blowing us over. We laughed the whole time but I have never been that cold before (Fargo greeted me with -4 degree weather)!
Prior to working for eOne, I knew a lot of the gang from different Microsoft conferences and working with them directly, as a partner. I have some fond memories of Directions NA parties and Martin giving some “controversial” keynotes.
Q: What’s playing in your headphones?
I like all kinds of music but, right now, I am listening to a lot Kacey Musgraves (she’s a favorite of mine and I have seen her live several times). Recently, I have been listening to more and more podcasts and I am loving Armchair Expert and The Office Ladies.
Q: What TV show are you binge watching/watched most recently?
I don’t think a day goes by in our house where we don’t have The Office (see podcast rec above) on, at least in the background. It’s a favorite for us! Recently, I binged Season 3 of The Good Place. My husband and I are not so patiently waiting for Ozarks and Stranger Things to return.
