This week we introduce to you one of the key members of our support team, David Youngquist, our Senior Support Engineer! He took some time off from “saving the world” to share a little bit about himself with us below:
Do you have any nicknames people should know about?
In the Army, my nickname was “YQ”, at eOne people mostly call me Dave, although a few people call me “Super Dave” on occasion (Why do we call him that? Because he definitely saves the day at eOne in support on multiple occasions).
When did you start and what do you do at eOne?
Started at eOne on December 1st 2005, I do mostly product support, with a little bit of product testing and consulting once in a while.
What is something really awesome that you’ve done lately at eOne?
I really like thinking of new creative uses for our products. As I work in support, new ideas or ways of doing different things with our products tend to come to mind, which I then can create to benefit our team.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
I enjoy motorcycling and working on cars and motorcycles. I have completed two different SaddleSore 1000 rides on my motorcycle, which is riding 1000 miles in 24 hours or less on a motorcycle.
What’s on your bucket list?
1. Taking a motorcycle trip from Key West, FL to Prudhoe Bay, AK
2. Getting my private pilot license
3. Attend the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
Any eOne memories that first come to mind?
Two of my coworkers at eOne put a set of headphones behind my desk and played a recording of a cricket through them. Every time I stood up to look for the noise, they would stop the recording so I couldn’t find it. Only after several hours did I finally crawl completely under my desk and discover the headphones taped to the wall.
Speaking of headphones what’s playing in yours?
I like pretty much any 80’s “Hair Band” music, Motley Crue, Poison, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Guns n’ Roses, etc…
We hope you enjoyed meeting Dave – feel free to drop him a line at david.youngquist@eonesolutions.com!
