Role based security is a new feature that has been added to Popdock. It allows you to grant elevated permissions to Popdock users without having to make them an administrator.
Three roles are automatically added to all Popdock accounts:
- The User role: grants access to exporting lists to Excel
- The Manager role: allows users in the role to manage teams and grant security access to connectors, lists and actions
- The Developer role: grants access to edit connectors and add new lists and calculated fields
You can also create your own user-defined roles to grant access to any of the following permissions:
- Add calculated fields
- Add connectors
- Add new lists
- Add new users
- Assign security to teams
- Assign security to users
- Delete connectors
- Edit labels
- Edit field options
- Export to Excel
- Manage groups
- Manage relationships
- Manage roles
- Manage teams
- Refresh connectors
