Azure Authorization Error When Creating a Connection to Popdock

Published: Sep 01, 2023

When creating your first Business Central connector in Popdock, it is possible to receive the following authorization error when validating the connector.

This error is not coming from Business Central, but rather from Azure. The first Business Central connector in Popdock requires a licensed user within the environment that has, at minimum, the EXT – MGMT permission set. Ideally, a user with the SUPER permission set would be the best option.

A partner delegate admin license is unable to be the first one to add the connection between Popdock and Business Central. This is only required for the first connector established for Business Central from Popdock. After that first connector has been validated and created, then a partner with a Partner Delegate Admin license is able to add other Business Central connectors without the error occuring.
