Step 1
Before you begin, it is necessary to have a FedEx account. If you don’t already have an account, go to www.fedex.com and create one.
Step 2
Go to the FedEx developer page at https://www.fedex.com/en-us/developer.html Make sure you are logged into your account.

On the same page, select FedEx Web Service, then Develop, and Test.
Step 4
Click the button on the page labeled “Get your test key”.
Step 5
Fill out the form with your personal information, then press the continue button. Make sure that you select US and Global as the Country. If you are shipping intra-country within European countries, you can add these countries afterwards in addition to the US and global account number.
Step 6
You should see a screen showing you values for Supported Web Service, Authentication Key, and Meter Number. You will not actually need these numbers. Additionally if successful, you should receive an email with the title “Your Developer Test Key Registration is complete”.
Step 7
Navigate to the FedEx web services page again at https://www.fedex.com/en-us/developer/web-services/process.html. Select FedEx Web Service -> Move to Production.
Step 8
Find the button below labeled “GET PRODUCTION KEY” and click it.
Step 9
On the first page of the following forms, select the values:

Accept the license agreement and fill out the rest of the forms with your personal information.
Step 11
Record the Production Key and Meter Number displayed.
Navigate to My Profile -> Account Management to retrieve your Account Number.
You should receive an email titled “Your developer Production Key Registration is complete”, which will contain your production password.
